Shorts Factory — AI Studio for Shorts, Reels & TikTok — the platform running

Overview

A studio, not a video generator

A local studio that turns one idea into a finished 9:16 video for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels and TikTok. Twelve Claude agents scout what is trending, research it, fact-check every claim against its sources, write the script and the hook, direct the shots and review the result; TypeScript, Playwright, Remotion and FFmpeg capture the real screenshots, narrate it in your own cloned voice, mix the sound, render 1080×1920 and write the post copy for six platforms. It stops four times to ask you — idea, hook, plan, final cut — in a dashboard on your computer or as Approve buttons in Telegram on your phone, wherever you are. Paste the link of a video that went viral and it rebuilds the story as your own Short: the transcript becomes the research lead, the facts are checked again and the script is written fresh in your voice. The app, your voice, the render and your keys stay on your machine, and nothing is ever published without you pressing the button.

What it does

Everything Shorts Factory does for you

  • Remote control

Run it from anywhere, in Telegram

Every approval arrives on your phone as a card with Approve and Request changes buttons, and the final cut is sent to you as a video. Start a new Short with /new, scout with /scout, check on things with /status, or just send a voice note. It uses long polling, so no port is opened and nothing on your computer is exposed to the internet.

    • Approve the idea, hook, plan and final cut
    • The finished video in the chat
    • Voice notes in, spoken replies back
  • Recreate

Turn any viral YouTube video into your own Short

Paste the link of a video that worked. Its transcript becomes the brief: the subject, the angle and every claim it made. The researcher then confirms those claims from primary sources and the script is written fresh, in your voice, with your visuals. You get the story that already proved itself, without re-uploading anyone's words.

    • Paste a link, pick a length
    • Or steer it with your own angle
    • Also in Telegram: /recreate
  • Research

Research and fact-checking, done for you

A scout scans Hacker News, Reddit, GitHub, Hugging Face, RSS and YouTube and scores every story on twelve axes. A researcher collects the sources; a fact-checker gives every claim a status. Every factual sentence in the script carries the ids of the claims behind it, and a video cannot be packaged while one of them is unverified.

    • Sources and claims saved beside every video
    • An agent can never upgrade an unverified claim
    • A second fact check on the finished cut
  • Voice

Narrated in your own cloned voice

Record 20–30 seconds of yourself once. Voicebox, a free app that runs on your computer, clones it, and every Short is narrated in it, with captions timed to the words. The same voice reads the dashboard's replies aloud, and takes dictation into any text field. ElevenLabs and OpenAI voices work too if you would rather use a key.

    • Cloned on your machine, not in a cloud
    • Word-timed captions
    • Mastered to −16 LUFS
  • Local

    Everything stays on your computer

The app, your voice, the screenshots, the render and every key live on your machine; keys are written to a local file and the page only ever learns whether one is set. There is no account with us, no upload to us and no monthly fee to us. Two things go online, and it says so on the first screen: the Claude agents and web search.

    • No subscription to Brand Motion
    • Keys never shown back, never committed
    • A pre-commit guard that refuses a leaked key
  • Control

Four approvals. Nothing ships without you.

It stops at the idea, the hook, the plan and the final cut. At each one you approve, or send it back with a note and the stage to redo; earlier versions are kept. Between the gates it works on its own, reviews its own render and fixes what it finds, up to three rounds. Uploading is a button you press, and it uploads as private.

    • Pick the hook from options with the writer's reasoning
    • Automatic QA and re-render
    • Never posts by itself

What Shorts Factory is — and what it isn't

No asterisks. If something below would change your mind, it should change it now rather than after checkout.

What it is

  • Complete source code for a studio you install and run on your own computer — the same build shown in the recording above.
  • Twelve Claude agents and a production crew. The agents research, check, write, direct and review; TypeScript, Playwright, Remotion and FFmpeg capture, narrate, edit and render.
  • A dashboard and a Telegram bot over the same four approvals, with live job logs, a keys panel, voice commands and a one-button private upload to YouTube.

What you can do with it

  • Run your own channel and publish and monetise every video it makes.
  • Run it for clients, or run several channels from one machine.
  • Change anything — the agents, the audience it scouts for, the look of the video, the stages. It is the full source, not a locked app.
  • Add providers. Search, images, voice and trending sources are small interfaces with a fallback chain.

What it is not

  • Not a hosted app. There is nothing to log in to. It runs on your computer, which has to be on and awake while a Short is being made. We don't host it, see your videos or hold your keys.
  • Not free to run, and not entirely offline. The editorial stages run through Claude Code, so you need a Claude plan with Claude Code access (Pro or Max) or API billing; without it, scouting gives rough scores and planning stops at the fact check. The agents and web search go online. The app, the voice, the render and your keys stay on your machine.
  • Not an auto-poster. By design, nothing is published automatically. Only YouTube uploads directly, as private, when you press the button; Google keeps uploads from an unaudited API project private until you make them public in YouTube Studio. Reels, TikTok, LinkedIn, X and Threads get written copy to paste.
  • Not a word-for-word copier. Recreate takes a video's subject and claims as a research lead. Nothing is copied: the claims are checked again from primary sources and the script is written from scratch, so the result is your own video. It reads a video's captions through yt-dlp, so a video with no captions gives it nothing to read.
  • Not tuned for every niche out of the box. It ships set up for AI and tech stories, with two audiences: everyday AI users and developers. The scout's sources, filters and scoring live in src/core/audience.ts and are yours to change, and your own topic or a recreated video skips the scout entirely. One visual style ships, and it writes in English only.
  • Not equally tested everywhere. It was built and tested on Windows 11 with an NVIDIA RTX 3060. The macOS and Linux paths exist but have had little use. Without a GPU the cloned voice still works, but takes about a minute a sentence instead of 10–15 seconds.
  • Not a text-to-video model. It edits real screenshots, diagrams, type, icons and licensed images in Remotion. It does not generate footage. Generated concept images (FLUX) and the presenter face are optional extras that need an NVIDIA GPU, and the presenter relies on research models licensed for non-commercial use.
  • Not a guarantee of views. It makes a well-researched, well-edited Short. Whether it travels depends on the story, the channel and the platform. Review every video before you publish it: the fact check reduces mistakes, it does not replace your judgement.
  • Not for resale as code, and not a support contract. You can't resell or redistribute the source or the prompts themselves. The pack is sold as it is: anything broken or missing we fix, but setup help beyond the guide and custom work are separate studio work.

About the prompt on its own

The prompt is the eight-phase brief that built Shorts Factory: a standing brief, then one prompt per phase, each ending in checks that must pass before the next. Pasted into Claude Code in order it produces that agent's own build of the studio, which will not match this one line for line — the visual polish took rounds of screenshots and corrections, and phases 4 and 5 take several sessions each. It does not include the setup guide. If you want the studio exactly as shown, running today, that is the source.

Setup guide

From zip to your first Short

The complete guide comes with the full source: 5 parts, 36 steps and 11 fixes for the things that go wrong. It opens here, on this page, as soon as you own the source, and it ships inside the pack too.

  1. Part 1 · 7 steps · About 20 minutes

Install it and open the dashboard

Three tools, three commands. At the end the dashboard is open on its setup screen.

  2. Part 2 · 6 steps · About 20 minutes

Sign the agents in and give it your voice

The two things that turn the dashboard into a studio: the Claude agents that do the editorial work, and the voice that narrates.

  3. Part 3 · 10 steps · 5 minutes each

    Keys, Telegram and YouTube

All optional. A missing key means a slower or smaller fallback, never a crash — but search and Telegram are the two worth doing on day one.

  4. Part 4 · 7 steps · 20–40 minutes of machine time, about 5 of yours

    Make your first Short

Four decisions from you; everything between them runs by itself.

  5. Part 5 · 6 steps · Up to you

Make it your channel and keep it running

What to change before the videos carry your name, and how to look after it.
